Mind questions: Why?! This love is insane!
Heart replies: Submit, your objection’s in vane.
Mind: I’m set to safeguard the integrity
of life, reason, honour and property.
How can i bear what destroys me and you?
Heart: You have no choice, Love is stronger than you.

Love’s a fire sparked by a flash divine
that will burn and destroy all that’s yours and mine,
Guarding jealously the Beloved’s right
to be solely loved with none alongside.

It is not from me, it’s not mine to claim,
nor yours to command, so drop your blame.

If your trade is that of a sentinel,
Then remain at the outposts of Sinai

And guard the purity of this place
but don’t venture into its sacred tract
Unless you’re prepared to die in its blaze,
